MODERN TIMES IS……an intrepid cadre of brewers, coffee roasters, and culinary wizards that began as a 30bbl production brewery and tasting room in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. Modern Times is named after a beautifully crazy utopian community founded in 1850, and many of our beers are named after real utopian experiments or mythological utopias.

Today, we’re distributed throughout Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest. In addition to our flagship brewery & roastery in Point Loma, we now have brewery/restaurant locations in Los Angeles & Portland, as well as a tasting room in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood and a restaurant and tap room in Encinitas, CA. A bit further down the line, we’ll be opening a restaurant in Santa Barbara, as well as a brewery/restaurant/cafe/swim club megaplex in downtown Anaheim. As of 2017, we became California’s very first employee-owned brewery, which is a fact we’re particularly proud of.

Brewcaipa Brewing Company was founded by Scott of Yucaipa. Brewcaipa started as a hobby when Scott’s wife, Kate, surprised Scott with a home brew set for his birthday many years ago. Scott’s passion for beer brewing grew into an idea that Yucaipa should have a good brewery, Yucaipa deserves a good brewery and so it was Created, Brewcaipa. Originally a 1-3 barrel system was proposed using a strip mall store that was currently vacant, the plan was in motion.

Founded in 2016, Three Marm Brewing is small brew crafter conceived and created by Andrew Divoff.

Three Marm Brewing Co. is all about real craftsmen brewing real craft beer. Three Marm Brewing arose from its four founders—Andrew Divoff, Donnie Strodtman, Adam Hernandez, and Chad Ambrose– sharing a mutual background in logging. In 2003, they formed a logging crew to address the bark beetle blight that threatened pine trees in the San Bernardino Mountains. With the use of a 75-ton crane, the crew removed dead and dying Poderosa Pines, helping to prevent the further infection of trees in the region.

It was 1995 and Bob Kluver had just tasted his first full mash home brew. The brown ale he held in his hand had weeks earlier been little more than hops, malts, and water boiling over flame. Yet, from this simplicity came something miraculous, something delicate, complex, and delicious. Not only had Bob brewed beer—an exciting feat in itself. He had created an ale that rivaled those he brought home from the grocery store each week, one he could drink with pleasure and share with pride. The moment was exhilarating, a revelation. Without knowing it yet, Bob had become a brewer for life.

Here at Inland Empire Brewing Company we put an emphasis on using only the finest whole ingredients available. Using only the freshest malted grains milled in house and choicest hops affords beers with a clean natural taste; with no artificial flavorings or colorings. To achieve this our Master Brewers study grain effects on color and palate to remain true to the traditional beer crafting process, to create unique color and flavors using all natural grains and hops.

So you know when you’re drinking our Victoria, or other flavored brew, we hand-zest, juice, etc. the raw ingredients themselves, no artificial extracts in our beers! All our beers are unfiltered to maximize the freshness of flavor that can be stripped out from filtering but still have the crystal clear appearance you would expect from a fine hand-crafted beverage.
